Bunyarra is a community based child care centre under the auspices of the Uniting Church in Australia. UnitingCare Children's Services is one of the largest community based children's services providers in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Locally, the service is managed by a management committee comprising members of Tuggeranong Uniting Church, and representatives of the parents. The management committee is responsible for two centres: Salem Children's Centre at Kambah, and Bunyarra Children's Centre at Chisholm.

The buildings in which we operate are owned by the ACT government.

The management committee is elected at the AGM in October. Members are elected for two years. The curent make-up of the committee comprises four members of Tuggeranong Uniting Church, two parent representatives from Bunyarra and two parent representatives from Salem Children's Centre. The directors of the centres are also on the management committee. Staff representatives are invited to attend as observers.

The centres operate as not-for-profit community organisations under the auspices of the Uniting Church in Australia, NSW Synod. Broad oversight and assistance is provided by UnitingCare Children's Services.
